Estimate
After booking an appointment, our estimates involve us coming to your house or job site to do a thorough walk through. An estimate can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. After taking measurements and doing some calculations, we will write up a price with a few options that day. The options will reflect different paint qualities and/or additional work that a customer might want done. Our prices are final prices which means they include all of the costs. There will be no hidden fees or extra costs once you are giving an estimate. We offer electronic and paper estimates, invoices and receipts. From here if you decide that we are the right fit for you, we will schedule you in and proceed to send a deposit invoice.
Deposit & Contract
After you make your booking we take a 30% deposit before starting any work. Also, it is in the best interest of both parties to sign a formal contract that states the work to be done, when it will be done, and the cost. This will make a legal agreement between Brush Pro Painting and the customer allowing for full transparency and a commitment on either side. This small step can avoid a lot of problems that are common between customers and contractors.
Production
We keep in touch periodically until the start date. Weather is obviously a big factor for exterior painting so there may some days we cannot paint or have to refrain from painting due to rain. For exteriors, pressure washing may be done up to a month before painting commences and a separate day will be scheduled. The actual painting process varies from project to project but the general system is: cleaning, prep work, painting, clean up. We do spray finishes for exteriors when we have the chance, so we spend time masking off areas where over spray may be a concern. Our two million liability insurance covers exterior spray painting so there is no risk for customers with this process. We also offer interior spray finishes on trim and ceilings, always making sure the house is properly protected. We make sure to follow the industries standard procedures for all painting projects. Lastly, we don't bounce around from job site to job site. When we start a job we keep working on it until it is done.
Payment
Once the project is completed, we will go around it with the homeowner to make sure everything looks great. After the final walk around is done we accept the remaining 70% of the bill via cheque or E transfer.
